A new look

When I decided to incorporate my update blog into the front page of DCM Studios Online, I chose a simple template because I figured it wouldn't clutter up the page too much. But now, it seems a little too plain, and most of the elements I wanted at the side of the blog frame are at the bottom of the page. So -as you can see - I've changed templates, and reorganized the sidebar.

Added to the sidebar are "quick links" to the Satin Steele and Tetsuko comics. Returning to the front page also, after far too long an absence, is a link to my links page. (For some reason, I forgot to put a link to the links page in the site navigation when I redesigned the site.)

I'll be making more tweaks to the design and graphics over the next few weeks.

Yes, there will be TCCs in 2010!

TCC December 2009

I usually like to post a TCC (Tetsuko Cosplay Calendar) at least a week before the month begins. But for various reasons (including a celebratory animation I made on the occasion of hitting 1,000,000 pageviews on deviantART, that it wasn't until today that I was even able to work on the latest one. Somehow, though, I was able to yank it out in one day, and it's now up for your delectation:

I'm a bad person...

...for not updating this blog more often. It's not that I haven't been doing artwork; I think I posted four TCC (Tetsuko Cosplay Calendar) since the last entry, and maybe some other stuff.

And now that I've finally completed a big commission job (one that I'll be at liberty to tell you about very shortly), I think I'll be able to produce and show more.

Finally, a new Tetsuko page

I wish I could crank these out faster, I really do.

Anyway, here's Page 27 of "Fight! Mighty Muscle Girl".

www.tetsuko.com is now live!

For a few years now, I've registered the domain names tetsuko.com and satinsteele.com, intending one day to use those as the URLs for dedicated web sites for these two characters. Finally, last night, I bit the bullet and set up web hosting for the Tetsuko domain.

For right now, there's only a notice saying that the content at the current Tetsuko site will be moved to the new digs soon, and linking back to the current site here and to my page at deviantART. But it's a promising start, I think.

New drawings at deviantART

I'm still trying to get back in the habit of posting notices here of new art that I've posted at my deviantART page; it's been so long since I've done so that I'm out of the habit.

(The main reason I post here is to let new and infrequent visitors to this site know that I'm still active, even if this site doesn't get updated very frequently. About the only new art I post here are new panels to my comics, especially Tetsuko.)

New Tetsuko panels!

The redesign of this site is not the only thing I've been working on... I've also managed to finish, not only the rest of page 25 of Tetsuko #2, "Fight! Mighty Muscle Girl", but page 26 as well!

New front page design!

I just got tired of the plain-vanilla temporary home page you've been seeing for the past year(s)... so this afternoon I got an inspiration for a new design, and spent the rest of the day creating the graphics and links.

If you're following my my deviantART page, that will still be the best source of news about updates to this site; although I'll also try to put a notice on this blog as well.
